Splendor Garden Gluten Free, Organic Thick Rolled Oats are made from kilned, whole groats processed by steaming and flaking. These oat flakes provide a textural difference (a more solid “bite” than regular rolled oats) while still maintaining the high nutritional value common in all oat products. Thick rolled oats are frequently used in breads, energy bars, cookies and granola.

Preparation

Stovetop:

2 1/4 cup water
Dash of salt(optional)
1 cup Splendor Garden Thick Rolled Oats

Bring water and salt to a boil, add Splendor Garden Thick Rolled Oats, reduce heat and cook about 5-10 minutes (depending on desired consistency) stirring occasionally.

Makes two servings.

Microwave:

Combine 3/4 cup water, dash of salt and ½ cup Splendor Garden Thick Rolled Oats in  a medium microwave safe bowl.

Microwave on high for 2 minutes, stir and cook on medium for an additional minute. Cover and let sit for a few minutes.

Stir before serving.

For added nutrition, dried fruit, nuts, raisins or cranberries along with a pinch of Splendor Garden Cinnamon, Apple Pie Spice, or Pumpkin Pie Spice can be added.

Makes one serving.
