Prune Cake


1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup olive oil
3 eggs
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp sea salt
1 cup cooked prunes
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp Splendor Garden Cinnamon
1 tsp Splendor Garden Allspice
1 cup buttermilk

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 can canned milk


Combine sugar, eggs, and oil.
Beat until smooth and creamy.
Add dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in prunes, walnuts, and vanilla extract.
Bake in a 9×13″ pan at 300º for 45-50 minutes.

Combine in pot and bring to a boil.
Cook for 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
Pour over hot cake immediately.
