Loved this curried soup. So easy to make. Create at your own spice dial!
2 whole chicken breasts seasoned with salt and pepper and cut in bite size pieces.
4 TBS butter
Diced fruits and veggies including a whole onion, a whole apple, a stick of celery, a carrot, a tomato and a bell pepper.
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup flour
1 TBS Splendor Garden Curry Powder
1 tsp Splendor Garden Garam Masala (check out our gift packs in October)
4 cups chicken stock
1 cup cream or plain yogurt
Splendor Garden Cayenne Pepper to taste
In wide deep pot melt 2 tblsp butter and saute chicken till brown. Remove. Add rest of butter. Add diced veggies, garlic and fruit. Saute till starts to turn brown. Sprinkle in flour, Curry Powder and Garam Masala. Add chicken stock, stir, simmer till soft. Puree. Add cream and chicken. Warm through. Season with salt and Cayenne. I ADDED ONLY A PINCH!
Replacing spices with salt just makes sense! This recipe still has salt and some fat but in moderation. We need this to feel full. At least I do! This recipe is a Deliciously Spicier! Creation.
